Imece Inisiyatifi is a grassroots organization founded in Çeşme, Turkey, in 2012 that supports displaced women and refugee communities through humanitarian assistance, education, and economic empowerment. As the refugee crisis intensified in 2015, Imece expanded its work to provide essential support to displaced families while increasingly focusing on the specific needs and opportunities of women.

Through initiatives such as the Solar Age Program, Imece equips displaced women with training in solar engineering and renewable energy, helping them develop skills, access economic opportunities, and build greater independence and resilience. Its work combines immediate support with longer-term efforts to strengthen women’s ability to shape their own futures and participate fully in their communities.
