Nuba Women for Education and Development Association (NUWEDA)

Nuba Women for Education and Development Association (NuWEDA) is a Sudanese organization working to advance women’s and girls’ empowerment through education, community development, leadership, and humanitarian assistance. Founded by women activists from conflict-affected areas of Southern Kordofan in 1997, NuWEDA works across Khartoum, White Nile, Blue Nile, and South Kordofan.

With a focus on Women, Peace, and Security, NuWEDA strengthens the leadership and participation of women and young people in their communities, while supporting adolescent girls through education, confidence-building, and health programs. Its work also includes reproductive and school health, children’s education, and humanitarian assistance for communities affected by conflict and displacement.
